Draycott to Offer Coaching Course For Disabled
Draycott will become the first tennis club in North Staffordshire to offer a Sport England backed coaching course for the disabled.
A group of students with learning disabilities from Longton's Strathmore college will join a 10-week pilot scheme in late spring, as part of their community and leisure curriculum.
The college already takes part in a range of sports mainly connected with the Special Olympics, but this will be the first opportunity for students to take up tennis. Initially the course will be geared for 16 to 25-year-olds.
